Singer, songwriter, guitar and piano player Peter Karp grew in the swamps of New Jersey and southern Alabama As a composer his name started to become popular thanks to his collaboration with guitar player Mick Taylor who participated in his first album The Turning Point, besides playing together on a successful tour In year 2008 he formed the band The Karp Foley Band with singer and guitar player Sue Foley Now he brings us his eighth album with a handful of original songs that become like a breath of fresh air, able to easily delight the audience, in an album where he wants to pay homage to the memory of Afroamerican singer Ruth Turner, who died in 2016, as well as to the music of all those artists he has grown and feels identified with, like Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Tony Joe White, Bob Dylan… which gives a general idea of the music you will find here Peter Karp is a real expert to combine blues, Americana music and country rock and this album shows his mastery knowledge of all mentioned styles Some excellent musicians have also collaborated with him, like Mick Taylor, Garth Hudson, Paul Carbonara, Todd Wolfe, Dennis Gruenling and his brother James Otis Karp
