Piano player Marc Ferrer and his trio with Pep Rius on double bass and Olivier Rocque on drums comfortably move along styles like rhythm & blues, swing, blues and jazz and they always do it with elegance and on a very professional way. Marc has a long career on his back that has allowed him to become one of the best piano players of these musical styles. With his trio, he usually performs a repertoire that, not only includes standards but also a good number of own compositions. In 2009 he met tenor sax Pere Miró, both members of The Big Jamboree band. Since that particular moment a very special chemistry arouse between them, that is now captured in this new release where both musicians show their musical understanding and skills to create attractive energetic arrangements, always with the magnificent support of Pep and Olivier. The ten songs that give shape and substance to this album entitled “Insistim!” (“We Insist!”), become a tribute to a real creative freedom but also to expressivity and thought freedom. In short words, this is an instrumental jazz album full of good and interesting moments that undoubtedly will satisfy most listeners.
