Surprising recording that combines elements of forties burlesque cabaret with a kind of music I would describe as old time with a jazzy flavour, swing, polka and vaudeville The creators of this idea are composer Daniel Schwartz who has written all the lyrics and his wife Angela who has given form to the music and done all the arrangements Together with them, the powerful voice of Angie Diamond and her daring staging presence, gives the spicy moments to the most hot and racy parts of the performance (although in some aspects the play becomes rather dramatic) Angie is backed by Abbigail Pins on trombone, Young Catherine on clarinet, Honest Stephen Longfield on double bass, Mikey The Fist on piano, and the collaboration of Ross’ on percussion And, in every song included in the album, The Professor appears as host and master of ceremonies, together with Danny Black, who drive and round up a surprising recording with colourful laughing moments The magic of the music and the amusing steamy dialogues that come along the play, give a fascinating rhythm filled with funny moments performed by what we may call a small theatre company This is a different cd, full of magic and glamour that allows us to enjoy the real atmosphere of a cabaret, while we are comfortably sitting at home
