Paula Harris is a well known singer by music lovers along San Francisco area where she has now settled She appeared in music scene in 2012 at the battle of bands organized at the International Blues Challenge Her debut album was very well received, getting excellent reviews and calling the attention of people all over the country Dan Aykroyd (Elwood Blues) has mentioned several times Paula is one of her favorite singers She has often been compared to Etta James, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan or Ruth Brown among other 50’s luminaries This new recording gathers all the ingredients to establish a strong connection between mid-century jazz and some legendary blues names This is an interesting recording where Paula Harris has managed to get the most out of her elegant vocal skills showing an amazing range of colorful voice tones The album includes twelve songs plus four bonus tracks where the excellent contribution of piano player Nate Ginsberg stands out and, of course, without forgetting Paula’s wonderful voice in each and every one of all these new songs deeply rooted in the tradition of the most tasteful and sophisticated jazz
