Harmonica player, song writer and gifted singer Paul Reddick has done a convincing pleasant round work, full of rich soft nuances of roots music, here you will find intimist blues with a soft touch of world music Reddick has chosen some electric and acoustic songs for this new project, all them full of complex well plaited rhythm patterns and his deep relaxed music gets different poetical and traditional coloured elements Reddick literary and musical influences are wide and can be found in William Blake, Kenneth Rexroth or William Carlos William poetry and Sleepy John Estes or Mississippi Fred McDowell music and, of course, in all field historical recordings Alan Lomax did for the Library of Congress An ambitious album, full of bright colours, that will certainly captivate the mos eclectic blues fans but, overall, high quality music lovers
