What Paul Nelson proposes on this new album is a musical journey through a mixture of styles based in American music tradition such as roots music, blues, folk, gospel and even a variation of rock and jazz In these recordings Paul displays his skills not only as a singer, acoustic guitar and mandolin player, but also as a song writer, in songs that often show an undeniable poetic beauty under the clue of a visceral intimacy All what has been mentioned so far proves that, sometimes, his music is wrapped of an unclassifiable lyricism and a really personal air that makes him different from other musicians and composers The album was recorded at the outskirts of Boston and to do so Paul Nelson recruited a group of musicians basically folk music performers coming from New England area like Kevin Barry on guitar, Richard Gates and Paul Kochansky on bass, John Sands on drums and Kristin Cifelli on vocals
