Paul Mark & The Van Dorens, well known at New York clubs and cafes scenes, have just finished a tour who drove them around different states to launch their new cd, recorded at Ardent studios in Memphis TN It has been produced in cooperation with Paul Mark himself and Jeff Powell, a man with a wide experience (BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Bottle Rockets…) Blood & Treasure is the eighth recording in the career of this multi-instrumentalist which has finally been published for the pleasure of all his fans, who have been waiting it for a long time Once again the band shows a huge ability to seduce different audiences with their powerful wild rhythm & blues and a touch of hard rock and roll, blues and Americana, all spiced with an intense rhythm and a faultless punch An excellent carefully done work including eleven Paul Mark’s own compositions, although his song Lotta Things To Say clearly reminds Joe Turner’s Boogie Woogie Country Girl, but performed on an original joyful way
