British harmonica player Paul Lamb has come back to the recording studios to complete an acoustic blues album, together with Chad Strentz on vocals and guitar, his son Ryan Lamb on guitar too, Dino Coccia on percussion, Rod Demick on bass and vocals and Paula Riordan on guitar and vocals Paul and his mates have recorded twelve songs, some own ones written in collaboration with his son Ryan, together with some versions of Sonny Boy Williamson, Terry McGhee, Little Junior Parker or even Don’t Get Around Much Anymore by Duke Ellington or the popular standard Down By The Riverside Recorded along different sessions after the end of all their usual weekly gigs (so comes the title After Hours), where the group jammed acoustic until the break of day, that have been gathered in this album, All songs capture with an amazing skill, good atmosphere and much feeling, the spirit of the genuine music The intensity of those sessions is noticed from the first notes of Stranger Blues that opens the album to the magnificent end with the song Jammin’ With The Preacher Get soon a copy as I it is a very good choice
