From New Orleans comes the first recording of a new band called Old Riley & The Water The group is led by Sean Riley on guitar and vocals and includes Andrew Landry on bass and Ray Micarelly on drums For their debut album they have also counted with Joshua Cook who, besides producing the cd, is also on guitar and vocals in all songs and tambourine in most of them, and Scott Craver in harmonica in four tracks The album includes six own compositions and a version of the song Howlin’ for My Darling’ coming from Howlin’ Wolf & Willie Dixon All selected songs clearly show the trio influences that are no others than the most genuine Delta and of Chicago blues, they embellish with taste with varied and different touches of soul, rock and even some punk We greet with joy the arrival of this new band to actual blues scene, with an interesting future ahead if they follow the same musical line they have done in this first album
