Since their first album that was published in year 2000, The North Mississippi AllStars have kept alive the flame and the special tradition of hill country blues and the original music of the state they come from The group was founded in 1996 thanks to the involvement and determination of singer and guitar player Luther Dickinson and his brother, drummer, keyboard player and singer Cody Since then on, they have gained respect of among blues community thanks to their extreme musical sensitivity, endless energy and the powerful message of positivism and hope In this new work The North Mississippi AllSars wildly explore new rhythms, ways and musical forms that go further up hill country blues, together with a handful of good guest musicians like bass players Dominic Davis, Graeme Lesh and Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band, Dead & Company), backing vocalists Sharisse Norman and Danielle Nicole and finally Shardé Thomas on fife and vocals, this last one son of Otha Turner who also played fife Rock, garage and Indie Mississippi blues come together thanks to these fierce Mississippi music performers
