Great rock artists tribute bands often try to reflect as faithfully as possible the style of the bands they pay homage However, it is not usual that a group of musicians specially gathered for a recording are able to produce a sound that, at first glance, could be defined as the one of the original band This is the case of National Radio Station that, this time, has got together a number of really professional musicians in their instruments to pay a tribute to the great John Fogerty and his Creedence Clearwater Revival Under the wise direction and leadership of Manny Ortega who has produced, recorded and made all arrangements, as well as singing and playing bass, dobro and steel guitar, the rest of the band includes such qualified names as Miguel Talavera and Carlos Navarrete in guitars Tony Melendez on acoustic guitar, Anna Lee on piano and hammond, Tico Portoles on sax and Larry Bombardero on drums, plus the collaboration of Sweet Marta on harmonica Fourteen songs that invite to immerse ourselves into the universe of John Fogerty’s and Creedence Clearwater Revival southern rock and Americana music and enjoy them again, recreated in hands of skillful specialists who totally know how to display, how to communicate and how to perform it
