If you like garage blues, punk-blues, Indie-blues, hypnotic-electric-blues, gypsy jazzy groove and underground rock-blues, all flavoured by some Mississippi Hill Country music influences, then this album will delight you and fill all your expectations, because Muerte Pan Alley are true masters in doing an explosive mixture of all just mentioned kinds of music Guitar player and singer Bob Keelaghan (sometimes his vocal range could remind Neil Young) and drummer Jason Woolley founded Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir’s, a cult band rooted in the American traditional music, but built up in a much more irreverent way To complete the actual Muerte Pan Alley they recruited bass player Rob Oxoby well known in psychobilly music circles and even among some few fans and followers of gothic rock With this album Muerte Pan Alley take a step forward, as they add to their music so traditional instruments like slide guitar, violin, banjo or fingerpicking guitar technique, all them played with a blistering speed, to create hypnotic and in some cases quite tribal rhythms
