Those of you who are not familiar with French singer and guitar player Mr. Tchang will now have the chance to discover him and be caught by his warm and passionate blues, by listening to this new album released by French label Bluztrack Productions.

His knowledge of blues has allowed him to back with reliability such amazing musicians like Big George Brock, James “Super Chickan” Johnson, Nico Wayne Toussaint or Malted Milk among others. He also leads different groups and, this time, his band is Bluz Explosion, which includes Sylvain Tejerizo on sax, Antoine Escalier on bass and Pascal Delmas on drums, together with excellent guests like Spanish musician Víctor Puertas on Hammond, piano, harpsichord, harmonica and vocals, Arnaud Fradin on rhythm guitar and Catherine Girard on washboard. All of them perfectly match with Mr. Tchang’s explosive and powerful style, which gives a magnificent support and brightness to the whole recording.

Thirteen songs that move between Chicago West Side blues and soul spiced ballads the group perform on a very actual, energetic way but, at the same time, with a breath of cool fresh air.

XXIst century blues lovers will surely enjoy this ‘explosion’ of intense and passionate blues Mr. Tchang and his Bluz Explosion present in this more than recommendable album.
