Recorded in 1997, TopCat Records has recently published the second album of one of the most veteran groups of Texas blues scene The album includes fourteen not very well known covers based on fifties blues and rhythm and blues, with compositions ranging from Rufus Thomas to Lonesome Sundown, Harold Burrage or Magic Sam They have also included two original songs All they form a free and easy repertoire to satisfy a broad varied range of different audiences and sensitivities The band shows really teamed and compact, where it stands out the versatile work of guitar player Brian Hash Brown Calway, a musician who has gained a reputation thanks to his collaborations with such great artists like Zuzu Bollin, Big Al Dupree, Sam Myers, Bobby Rush, Mike Morgan, Duke Robillard, Holland K Smith or UP Wilson The rest of the musicians show they are on top form too, from the fantastic dazzling singer Mitchell T Palmer, to bass player Terry Montgomery, drummer Bobby Baranowski and Andrew Baxter Jr on guitar too If one day you arrive home tired and depressed after a hard difficult work day, this album will give you joy, awaking in you the wish of starting new challenges
