Born in Baltimore and growing up in Maine, singer and harmonica player Mitch Pumpian began to play in middle 70’s At the end of 1980 he moved to Los Angeles where he developed his career and matured himself as musician working in various bands of the area and, as studio musician, he also put his harmonica to the service of different groups and musicians After twelve years living in California, he decided to move to Seattle, Washington where he has regularly worked in groups like The Kathi MacDonald Band and Patti Allen And Monster Road, as well as winning in 2017 the Washington Blues Society Award as Blues Band of the Year, as well as being nominated again in 2018 and 2019 as Best Harmonica Player of the year Now time has come for Mitch Pumpian to release his first solo album, to definitively show his technique and knowledge of harmonica blues language as well as displaying his more than acceptable vocal qualities Eight own compositions give shape to this album where, besides Mitch Pumpian on voice and harmonica, you will also find Rafael Tranquilino on guitar, Scotty Harris on bass and Andrew Cloutier on drums This is an album especially devoted to please all fans which look for blues performed with a good dose of harmonica
