For obvious reasons pre-war blues was always performed in a totally acoustic way, but now it is quite exceptional, especially among the younger ones, that a guitar player leaves aside electric guitar to only focus on a not amplified instrument This is what singer, guitarist and composer Mitch Mann has been doing and is reflected in this album, where he is only backed by his guitar, his voice and few friends who work along seven own songs and four covers Mann grew up in Alabama and began playing guitar when he was only eleven years old He soon started to compose songs and play with different local bands, which gave him self assurance and knowledge He graduated in music at Northwest Community College in Alabama and worked teaching theoretical and practical music training In 2007 he received the Bachelor of Arts Degree by the University of Alabama This recording will make you discover an artist at the peak of his career, where the elegant mastery, the great acoustic guitar work together with his delicate and suggestive voice, give as a result a pleasant relaxing album of blues, ballads and folk
