Only aged twenty, Leslie Bixler, aka Miss Bix, started to compose, recording and performing regularly, which made her get a well-deserved recognition in Los Angeles, California area.

After her son birth, Leslie devoted herself to compose music for children and started to work at a preschool nursery. Dick Van Dyke’s and Chad Smith’s (Red Chili Peppers drummer) children went to his class, which allowed her to become friends with them both. Finally she produced a couple of records with these two artists. Now that her son has grown up, Miss Bix has restarted her musical career with more success than ever.

Despite suffering the global pandemic and the terrible California fires, where the Bixler family lost their home and belongings, Miss Bix comes back with an incredible strength and a new recording released for Blue Heart label, that presents thirteen own compositions that become a hymn to the courage, self-improvement, pride and the purpose to show that, despite adversity, she has not lost the force to fight and overcome difficulties that have always been a challenge for her.

Backed by a select group of musicians, Miss Bix displays a varied repertoire where folk, ballad and blues prevail on a more than interesting recording that will surely surprise a wide range of listeners.
