Miguel Talavera is a singer and guitar player formed in Barcelona music scene who, may be, has not received the recognition he really deserves Gifted with an excellent guitar technique, which allows him to play with solvency and credibility a wide range of musical styles such as blues, country, bluegrass, Americana, swing, funk, rock or pop, he is also a good connoisseur of fingerpicking or slide guitar, which gives him a huge versatility when he approaches a varied repertoire But he is a composer too and, for his last album, he has selected twelve own songs and a version Baby Please Set A Date coming from Elmore James Our man knows to combine with strength and elegance his diverse influences to offer a highly rewarding work, and he does it with an amazing technique and class, perfectly backed by two excellent musicians and friends like Jordi Franco on bass and Miguel Ballester on drums In this last album you will also find Arecio Smith on keyboards in a couple of cuts, Giusseppe Costa on accordion in one song, plus a horn section with Toni Pato Lencina on tenor sax, Lluís Vallés on baritone sax and Jorge Sanjuas on trumpet All them round up an extremely interesting album in many respects that should not remain unnoticed for people who look for good quality music
