    Valoración: GREAT

Although he basically is a great blues and rhythm & blues singer, Mighty Sam McClain cannot hide he also loves old Philadelphia sound and he shows it in all recordings he has published along his long fruitful career The album presents an excellent studio recording and production that, as usual, gathers very good soul music spiced with rhythm and blues, a little jazzy flavour and some funk If I had to highlight something, there would certainly be horn arrangements by Scott Shetler on baritone and tenor sax, Russell Jewell on trombone and trumpet and Matt Rivero on trumpet with the effective direction of Pat Herlehy and Mighty Sam himself on a good, rich and lush work But, of course, I should also mention the rest of musicians who give the best of themselves and contribute to enhance it, like multi-instrumentalist Pat Herlehy, Michael Rossi, Rick Page, Joe Deleault and Barry Seelen All together give a magnificent support to make the incredible and magnificent Mighty Sam McClain’s voice shine as bright as ever
