From Finland comes an album by singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer Micke Bjorklof, a musician who is really appreciated in all Scandinavian countries which has make him to become a blues ambassador in northern Europe.

Micke began his career as a drummer, but soon he was also interested in other instruments like harmonica and guitar. From a very young age he knew that music would be his job, but it was in the early nineties and after touring with the legendary Finnish bluesman Pepe Ahlqvist, when he decided to totally devote to the blues. Since that moment, he has led various bands, both in electric and acoustic format, developing an intense career that has placed him as one of the leading names of the European blues scene.

Micke is also a versatile musician who can perform with reliability not only blues rock but also the most genuine country blues, a style he often performs with his trio Micke & Lefty feat. Chef. But for this album he plays in electric format with his group Blue Strip, developing a repertoire of eleven songs that, this time, is closer to blues rock, but where the most orthodox blues basis can be also found in some of the songs.

Micke Bjorklof is on vocals, harmonica and guitar, surrounded by Lefty Leppänen on electric, acoustic and slide guitars, mandolin and vocals, Seppo Nuolikoski on bass and vocals, Teemu Vuorela on drums and Timo Roiko-Jokela on percussion. All them display a very eclectic music framed in the most actual rock blues.
