Many years have gone from that time when, only aged eleven, Mick McConnell went one day with his father to an instruments store to receive an electric guitar as a present This guitar completely changed his life as, since that particular moment, he began to learn by himself all riffs and solos of the blues albums his older brother had in his record collection His first steps in music were quite humble, he played in small clubs in Leeds area or participated in local festivals and he even slept in the same van he drove during a tour in Germany But now everything has completely changed for Mick After forty years on the road, he has become a requested artist to play in renowned festivals, great stadiums and well known clubs The level he has got allows him to come back with reliability and authority to his early influence, the blues, a music genre that has always attracted him This does not mean this album includes strictly twelve-bar blues but it simply means that is firmly based in bluesy structures
