Believe it or not, this Christmas album was recorded in Memphis in summer 2021 under an extreme suffocating heat.

Everyone involved in the recording consider Memphis as their home, so the whole album communicates the true spirit of Memphis blues. Again Mick Kolassa counted with the collaboration of Jeff Jensen for the production, arrangements and playing guitar as well.

This Christmas album combines some singer and guitar player Mick Kolassa’s own compositions with other classic Christmas songs like “Merry Christmas Baby”, “Jingle Bells” or “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. With this album Kolassa wants to give listeners the same joy all the musicians felt while they were recording it during those hot summer days thinking in the next Christmas days there have already come, besides donating all the sale benefits to two educational programs sponsored by the Blues Foundation, the Hart Fund and the Generation Blues.

This excellent work includes Jeff Jensen on guitar, Bill Ruffino on bass, Rick Steff on keyboards, James Cunningham on drums, Eric Hughes on harmonica, Mark Franklin on trumpet and the backing vocals of Reba Russell and Susan Marshall, as well as Mick Kolassa on vocals and guitar.
