Born in Seattle, Michele D’Amour began to play piano at the age of six. She soon started to sing at the local church choir as well. With a special gift for composition, she also stood out as a lyricist. From a very young age she devoted herself to sing in different local bands, until she decided to form her own group.

Since 2014 Michele has released six albums. The band has also been recognized as the best contemporary blues group by ‘LA Music Critic’ in 2019, receiving three silver medals at the Global Music Awards too.

During the two years of pandemic, Michelle worked hard to compose a handful of songs. Eleven of them are the ones that you will find in this album, which talk about topics like social issues, women empowerment, life on the road or daily life misfortunes.

The band includes Michelle D’Amour on vocals, Richard Newman on electric and steel guitars, Noel Barnes on alto and soprano sax, Patrick McDanel on bass and double bass and Carl Martin on drums. The whole group shows their chemistry and communicate the funny atmosphere they felt during the recording sessions, which became a cathartic experience for everyone involved on it, as they deeply enjoyed the whole process, something you will immediately realize listening to each album song.
