Taking advantage of their participation at 2019 edition of the International Blues Challenge, Michele D’Amour and her band The Love Dealers came to Memphis renowned Royal Studios, owned by Lawrence Boo Mitchell, to round up a new recording project they had on mind for some time The whole recording was done during a Friday night, including seven own compositions plus a version of the classic Memphis Soul Stew coming from sax player King Curtis With this material in their suitcases they came back to Seattle, Oregon where they did the mixing part under the clever direction of Steve Feasley The versatility of this singer called Michele D’Amour enables her to perform with reliability and good balance a variety of styles like blues, jazz, rhumba, Latin rhythms or Memphis soul This is the fifth album Michele and her band have published till now and clearly shows the good work and progression of a band that is called to reach, if they follow in the good direction, new and successful milestones in their promising musical and artistic career
