After watching cd cover and title, we should start to call Memo Gonzales, Mr Dynamite Yes… yes…, Memo comes back much more fighter than ever The cd shows this Texas music is on top form and I dare say he is perhaps living the sweetest moment of his musical career Twelve bright intense songs with an overflowing energy and an amazing dose of effective blues, funk, groovin’, able to shake the foundations of a 200 floor building There should be given an special mention to his terrific version of James Colegrove’s Dynomite Nitro Besides Memo Gonzales himself on vocals and harp, his Bluescasters include German guitarist Kal Strauss, who signs some of the cd songs, Turkish bass player and friend Erkan Özdemir and Dutch drummer Henk Punter You will also find Josh Fulero on guitar, Jan Karow on Wurtlizer piano, and Boyd Small on bass as guest musicians in one cut An album I personally recommend to those of you, who like contemporary blues, performed with high quality and honesty
