Although we never review EPs but only complete CDs that have been released and can be found on stores, this time we will make an exception to report the release of “Breaking News”, an EP with only four songs, coming from McKenna Moonah Blues Duo.

Four songs are not enough to write a review about the work of these two Canadian musicians, but they do serve to confirm their experience and knowledge of the ground they move on, simply by listening carefully to these few songs that can be framed between traditional blues and blues rock.

Mike McKenna is on lead, rhythm, acoustic and slide guitars, while Jay Moonah is on vocals, harmonica, bass, rhythm guitar, keyboards and percussion. Together they form a good team which gives us four good compositions, developed with large doses of feeling. We hope to learn more about their work and have a good opportunity to savor it at all its worth.
