Life was looking good to singer and guitar player Matteo Sansonetto after releasing his album My Life Began To Change in 2015 Good reviews, many gigs and an increasing popularity that were unfortunately stopped by a serious car accident where, besides other injuries, Matteo broke his hands Recovery has been slow, difficult and hard but finally Matteo Sansonetto comes back with more strength and willing than ever and a new album he has patiently cooked with great expectations, whose title says everything I’m Still Around includes ten songs, some of them own compositions, where he shows that, starting from classic Chicago blues, he is able to do very interesting and fruitful things to delight listeners and bring them closer to a more contemporary blues with influences he has collected from soul, 70’s and 80’s rhythm & blues and funk, all displayed with a real actual air And if this was not enough, Matteo Sansonetto has recruited some deluxe musicians like Breezy Rodio on rhythm guitar, Roosevelt Purifoy on keyboards, Brian Burke on bass, Ian Letts on tenor sax, Constantine Alexander on trumpet and Marty Vinder on drums, plus two occasional splendid collaborations like Jimmy Johnson on vocals and Dave Specter on guitar
