It is always a satisfaction to receive different releases coming from new values who burst with strength into actual blues scene. Now, VizzTone presents the first album recorded for them by young singer and guitar player Mathias Lattin.

Only aged 20, Mathias Lattin has been winner of 2023 International Blues Challenge in Best Band Category, as well as in Best Guitarist Category, which made that media and audiences became interested on him. Graduated of the Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts, he soon became well known in Houston scene, where he played in the jams organized by Jonn Del Toro Richardson, to afterwards become member of Keesha Pratt’s band. His mentors and source of inspiration have been artists like Annika Chambers and Shawn Allen.

For this album Mathias has composed and produced ten songs where he shows his good work on guitar with effective solos developed with an impressive good taste, together with a pleasant voice full of interesting nuances. Pure blues with touches of funk, jazz and groove is what listeners will find in this album as, not in vain, his biggest influences come from artists like Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack, Lucky Peterson or Roy Hawkins.

Besides guitar and vocals, Mathias is also on bass in three songs. You will also find an excellent cast of musicians which complete an album of powerful and very actual blues.
