This album was originally released during Christmas holidays 1999 and it probably was the last published blues album of the twentieth century. Since then on the group has released other recordings, besides regularly performing not only in Ireland, where they come from, but also in other European countries.

After their album “Coming Home” was broadcasted at the RTE Lyric, host and Dj Bernard Clarke asked them for more material. This made Mary Stokes Band decide to reissue this album, to keep their actual status as, although it is one of their first recordings, it gathers all the freshness and undeniable energy the band communicates on stage.

The album was recorded live at the Harry St. Dublin Pub in Brussels during the show they performed on 12 December 1999 with Mary Stokes on vocals, Brian Palm on harmonica, Graham Hynes on guitar Dermot Stokes on piano, Felim Gormley on sax, Ken Matthews on bass and Eoin O’Doherty on drums. Fourteen blues give shape to the recording, all of them developed with personality and commitment. Three songs are Mary Stokes’ own compositions and the rest are rather unknown songs coming from artists like Chuck Willis, Jimmy Rogers, Louisiana Red, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Tommy Johnson or Billy Boy Arnold among others.
