Martin Lang has been involved in the blues for more than 25 years Since he travelled to Chicago in 1989 to study at the university, his life has not stopped to turn around and be focussed in that music In Chicago he met Dave Waldman, a blues expert who introduced him to the blues and especially to the harmonica secrets Since that moment Martin was totally caught by blues, going to each and every one of the city clubs and, at the same time, he learned from great masters like Little Walter, Walter Horton, James Cotton, Dave and Louis Myers or Johnny Burgin Today, Lang has become an outstanding reference in 50’s harmonica sound This album becomes a real proof along the thirteen songs included, with references to Junior Wells, Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter and Frank Frost Besides Martin Lang on vocals and harmonica, you will also find Rusty Zinn and Billy Flynn on guitars, Oscar Wilson on vocals, Illinois Slim and Jimmy Upstairs on bass, Dave Waldman on piano and Dean Haas on drums This is a spectacular exercise of the most pure and orthodox Chicago blues like it was cooked during the 50’s and 60’s
