Minimalist country blues sounds and other musical essences are what singer, song writer and guitar player Mark Easton gives us in his new cd, on an intimist proposal and a suggestive poetical vision made of slide hypnotic riffs, combined with an unsophisticated harmonica playing Fourteen songs that follow the same path, that is to say, they are deeply rooted into the most traditional ‘American roots music’ although Mark Easton comes from, lives and plays in Australia Easton takes the responsibility of the whole recording, he sings, plays guitar, harmonica, drums and loops Besides, he has written all songs included on the cd, except three cuts that belong to Percy Mayfield, Arthur ‘Blind Willie’ Reynolds and Hound Dog Taylor
