Since he was a child Belgian singer and guitar player Marc Lelangue felt totally attracted by blues Without almost knowing how to read and write he learned by heart the lyrics of songs by Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Boy Fuller but, specially, those of the album that was published in Belgium with the title of ‘Chant Du Monde’ by Big Bill Broonzy, that were included in its liner notes Some years later he began to play on the streets, building up a repertoire based on pre-war and rural blues that, at that time, no one called unplugged yet He met Robert Lockwood’s nephew Luther Tucker and this was providential to open new ways in Marc’s career in the blues land After forming several groups, now Marc Lelangue comes backed by two of his habitual musicians Lacy Horse on mandolin, slide guitar and harmonica and René Stock on double bass, in a delicious acoustic album with twelve wonderful songs, all them full of those old blues that can often be heard on back porches of USA southern houses You will find a good mixture of own songs with beautiful covers by Tampa Red, Brownie McGhee, Leroy Carr and Robert Hicks Here comes a good selection of blues performed with deep love, great feeling and much passion
