Malacara & Wilson Band is the project of Catalan singer and composer Xavier Malacara and British guitar player Tony Wilson Both met in Barcelona a few years ago and immediately realized their influences and musical tastes were very similar Since then on they have not stopped playing and giving shape and consistency to the band formed by Xavi Malacara on guitar, harmonica and vocals, Tony Wilson on guitar, Maxi Moscardi on bass and Salva Joker on drums Along these years they have built up a repertoire with a good amount of folk, blues, 60’s pop, country, rock and Americana together with stories that deal about life losers who travel along endless roads and sleep in slummy motels So this album follows the band journey they have started looking for the genuine roots Mario Cobo has produced and supervised the recording, where you will find a handful of own songs and couple or three covers All tracks show the already mentioned musical influences and their personal tribute to blues In short words here comes an album with a collection of good songs that drive us to the traditional American music, thanks to the good work of all band musicians
