Luciano Federighi is a jazz and blues scholar coming from Tuscany, Italy. For years he has traveled all over USA searching the genuine sounds of country, gospel, soul and jazz, working as assistant at the University of California and writing articles devoted to different aspects of American culture.

Among his many activities he has been blues editor of the Italian magazine “Musica Jazz” as well as writing novels and essays always related to Afro-American music. He has also collaborated with various festivals in his native Italy and has conducted a program in Italian national radio RAI.

Now he presents two albums, the first one entitled “October Land”, recorded with piano player Andrea Garibaldi. This first album gathers twelve songs where Luciano Federighi is on vocals, composition and lyrics, while Andrea Garibaldi is on piano and has done the arrangements of this bunch of songs that are very much in the style that artists such as Leonard Cohen or Tom Waits could have written them.
