Many people tend to think acoustic blues is a rather sad, monotonous and sometimes boring music But Tim Lothar, Peter Nande and Mik Schacks invite us to enjoy with their music, forget daily problems and sorrows and have a real good time This album was recorded in Mik’s house, in a totally informal atmosphere, on a kind of funny party shared by friends, family, neighbours, children and even some pets, along a casual jam where the three musicians felt very comfortable and extremely relaxed, giving the best of themselves and enjoying the pleasure of rediscovering black music roots in the way of the most genuine, natural and passionate blues Both Tim Lothar on guitar and Peter Nande on harmonica did the vocal parts and different percussions, while Mik Schack played old twenties percussion instruments like washboard, cymbal and woodblock Svante Sjöblom Vrak played banjo and lap steel in two songs The result is a real joyful party I am sure that, although not physically there, more than one would have loved to join or at least listen now in this interesting album, with songs coming from Gus Cannon, Little Walter, Sleepy John East, Tampa Red or Charley Patton among others
