Los Románticos is a band that sounds like any American group, even if they come from the north of Spain Musicians are tuned, feel loose, have swing and show good qualities in each and every one of the blues fields and other similar styles they play with confidence and knowledge Their vintage sound comes full of rewarding feelings filled with colorful nuances, either in Chicago blues songs like That’s All Right by Jimmy Rogers or in Texas blues like If You Love Me Like You Say by Albert Collins, as well as in own songs like I m Worried or If You Are My Friend Even the small mistakes guitarist Iker Piris could do in some solos are so natural and funny that you immediately forgive him and do not take them into account The album also includes some more groovy songs like the instrumental Walking Down College Street, coming from French musician Nico Wayne, or Life Wire, a song by New Orleans funk and r&b super group called The Meters, who, among others, were James Brown and Sly Stone backing band In short words, Los Románticos is a good trio with a huge personality which will easily please and give joy to all listeners
