Fantastic as ever, Lone Rhino Club display their huge performing potential, firmly led by his charismatic leader and founder Julio Lobos, on a new bright work that follows the same line than his previous one Lively enterprising and skilful musician, gifted with an extremely effective intensity, Julio (vocals, piano, accordion, harmonica and kazoo) and The Lone Rhino give the best of themselves in this new second album recorded ‘live’ at La Traviesa club in Torredembarra (Tarragona) The band members are Robert Gomez guitar, Josep ‘Pasto Marti, bass and Regi Vilardell drums and washboard, The cd includes twelve songs, mostly covers of classic songs coming from Robert Johnson Ray Charles, BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters or Chuck Berry, with some not so classic ones, coming from Roy Brown and Washboard Sam, plus some curiosities they give an original bluesy air, like Jay Livingston’s Que Será, Los Ejes De Mi Carreta or Georges Brassens’ La Mala Reputación You will also find on the cd some guest musicians and friends of Barcelona blues circle, like harmonica players Little Jordi and Tota, guitarist Martin J Merino and saxo players Jordi Blanch, Jordi Prats and Lluis Vallés It is a cd which has been done with a lively deep feeling and passionate soul
