Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1973, Lluís Coloma first did classic piano studies When he was only twelve or thirteen years old, he felt totally impressed by rock and roll piano players, specially with Jerry Lee Lewis and soon he became fan of Roosevelt Sykes boogie-woogie Since then on, his life and aims completely changed and he gradually introduced himself into the fabulous blues and boogie world Lluis Coloma has received some local awards, such as Best Catalan Musician 2003 and BluesCat Artist 2006 He has also given talks about the history of piano boogie-woogie and has been one of the few Spanish piano players who plays old barrelhouse piano style Every year he organized together with Bsrcelona Blues Society, the Boogie Woogie Jubilee night This is his forth album recorded under his own name This time he has invited some of his friends and most admired piano players on a series of duo performing, with an excellent result Besides Barcelona pianist August Tharrats, David Giorcelli and Bernat Font, you will also find European ones, such as Frank Muschalle, Phillipe Lejeune or Julian Brunetaud and some American ones like Mark ‘Mr B’ Braun, Mitch Woods, Bob Seeley, Carl Sonny Leyland and Barrelhouse Chuck Simply say it is an amazing album
