A real bundle of emotional energy is what listeners will feel with Liz performing, because she always gives off the highest flaming passion in every one of the songs included on this cd. Gifted with an intense heartbreaking voice, that comes from gospel and soul music, Liz McComb copes very well and feels at ease along the whole album, where she plays twelve own impressive songs with self arrangements and final production that clearly show her love and knowledge of Afroamerican music. Liz cleverly mixes blues, gospel, soul, rhythm and blues, hollers, dance music and even rap, hip-hop or doo-woop, on a very relaxed but, at the same time, passionate and efficient way. The result is a bright album, quite sophisticated in certain passages, thanks to the orchestral arrangements provided in some tunes, such as in “Peacemakers” song. It is really an ambitious project that deserves to reach an important success.
