As Liz Mandeville explains, this album was recorded during a long period of three years and things happened in this way One night Liz received a telephone call from guitar player Scott Ellison saying he was in Chicago with his band and they could not find hotel rooms Liz offered them place in her studio but she asked them to record three songs with her The following year the same story happened again, this time with Italian guitar player Dario Lombardo who also paid the favour recording three more songs That same year guitarist Rachelle Coba was nominated to the Blues Blast Awards and she had to travel to Chicago… and what happened? She stayed at Liz’s home recording three more songs with her The last song that completes the album was recorded together with Japanese guitar player Minoru Maruyama With all that material Mandeville came to the studio and with the valuable collaboration of sound engineer Jim Godsey, gave shape to the whole recording, adding some other guitar solos by Doug Deming, who sent them through Internet A good handful of studio musicians contributed to give a beautiful shape to the whole work, where Liz shows all her talent and knowledge of the varied range of musical styles she is able to tastefully carry on, both on vocals and guitar
