Little Mike is an energetic, vibrant and very expressive musician who looks to perpetuate those blues he first learned of musicians like Pinetop Perkins, Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin and James Cotton, he often backed or played with Mike always gives a suggestive air to every blues he plays, because he knows how to give them an original different wrapper In this album Little Mike sings, plays harmonica and piano along a selection of twelve songs, some own ones together with other dark Chicago blues covers like Slam Hammer coming from Johnny Young, How Long by JB Lenoir or Bad Boy by Eddie Taylor Every time you listen to this album, you will be caught by the spirit and soul of the best fifties and sixties south side Chicago blues flavour, thanks to the good work of Mike on vocals, harmonica and piano, together with drummers Cam Robb and Dave Sweet, guitar players John Edelmann and Troy Nahumko, who now lives in Spain, bass players Joe Fontenot and Ken Stearns, the last one on guitar in some cuts and, finally, Mitch Margold on Hammond B-3 This is an album performed with passion, brightened with the torch of a true blues guarantor like Little Mike Markowitz
