Eastern Europe has a large pool of blues and roots music performers. One of its major representatives is singer, guitar player and songwriter Little G Weevil. Born in Budapest, Hungary, he formed his first band in 1996 touring Europe in different occasions. In 2004 he traveled to USA to firsthand study and immerse himself in Atlanta, St. Louis and Memphis blues, working as a dishwasher in a Beale Street club in Memphis. In 2013 he won the International Blues Challenge in ‘solo/duo’ category. Since that moment on, his reputation has not stopped to grow and today he brushes shoulders with renowned artists like The Neville Brothers, Terry Evans, Anson Funderburgh, Lurrie Bell, Matt Schofield or Ian Siegal among others.

The new release Little G Weevil now presents includes ten own compositions framed in styles like blues, swing, jazz or ragtime. His passion for authenticity becomes evident, not only in his songs but also in the lyrics, that tell us about recurrent topics always developed in blues music.

To reach the genuine sound Weevil is always looking for, this time he is surrounded by a handful of good musicians who perfectly understand and capture the essence of what Little G. Weevil wants to express. They are K.C. Brown on harmonica and vocals, Mr. Jambalaya on piano and vocals, Csaba Pengó on double bass and vocals and Tom Kiss on drums.

Undoubtedly, Little G Weevil is a particular artist who always leaves his mark on the 21^st. century traditional blues scene.
