The passion for blues made Jen “Lil’ Red” Milligan and Pascal “The Rooster” Fouquet meet one day back in 2010 and immediately decide to form a duo. For a decade they have matured their style playing at the most varied bars, clubs, cafes… etc. They define their music as ‘retro modern blues’ in permanent evolution, although their roots are strongly anchored in the most genuine old traditional blues. On stage they have a special and very emotional charm that immediately connects with the varied audiences that go to their shows, both in Chicago, but also all over the country and even in Europe.

This recording includes ten own compositions plus a version of “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”, an old traditional hymn, prior to the vaudeville. Sweet Jen Milligan is on vocals, rhythm guitar and washboard, while Pascal Fouquet plays electric and acoustic guitars. For the album they have also counted with singers Jeff Morrow, Caroline Carson Rau, Sara and Marco Castro, Jean-Marc Labré on baritone sax, Felton Crews on bass, Kenny “Beedyeyes” Smith on drums and the special collaboration of Billy Branch on vocals and harmonica in the song “Keep On Loving You”. Also mention the tribute to Rosa Parks with the song “Back Of The Blues” and the hearty homage to Freddie King in “Little Girl”.

This is an album to be taken into account for the wide vision both musicians have to approach the blues, always performed in an elegant way, giving to the songs a good dose of great sensibility, feeling and a tasteful delivery.
