The king of houserockin’ Chicago blues comes back again As ever he is deeply influenced by the style of his uncle JB Hutto, but also by Hound Dog Taylor and, of course, Elmore James too As usual Lil’ Ed brims a flaming electrifying energy and, together with the powerful hypnotic hard and forceful backing band, give a performing that will bring a dead man back to life All songs are Ed’s own compositions Besides, you will also discover Bruce Iglauer’s expert touch on final production Seventeen years have gone since in 1986 they recorded their first cd Roughousin’’’ for Alligator Records, but Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials still keep themselves on top form Let’s hope they will be playing together for a long time and to give us joy with their powerful skill and their flaming and grooving blues
