Born in Chicago in 1955, Lil’ Ed is now considered as one of the best ‘garage blues’ sound representatives But he does not only remain as a good example of this particular styles, he goes further up and becomes a genuine effective musician of smoking slide guitar boogie, Chicago shuffle, deepest slow blues and house rockin’ blues All these sounds are perfectly performed with a warm acute precision, energy and taste in this new Ed’s Full Tilt cd In fact Ed is an amazing singer and guitar player gifted with an own personal sound far away of the most stereotyped blues, but strongly influenced by his uncle’s JB Hutto’s and Hound Dog Taylor’s music, he deeply loves and venerates Besides Little Ed on guitar and vocals, you will find his Blues Imperials along the cd, with Michael Garret on guitar, James ‘Pookie’ Young on bass and Kelly Littleton on drums An special mention to guest musicians Johnny Iguana on piano and organ, Eddie McKinley on tenor sax and David Basinger on baritone sax A great cd with a splendid very inspired Lil’ Ed
