This is the last cd we have received from Last Buzz Swedish label, to make us discover a bright singer and harmonica player with an attractive ambitious technique, a deep fat tone and a warm phrasing too Morten ‘Lightnin’ Moe’ Stenbaek powerfully leads the band and he is perfectly and professionally backed by Tim Lothar Petersen on drums, Peter Dunvad on bass and acoustic bass and Kasper Vegeberg on guitar They play a jump blues with actual West Coast blues influences and some drops of sixties Louisiana swamp blues performed by such great artists like Lightnin’ Slim, Lazy Lester or Slim Harpo among others they deeply admire This band has a great knowledge of the music they play, so they immediately connect and easily make audiences enjoy with their music They have done a lot of gigs in the north of Europe, from Sweden to Denmark, Norway or Finland It is time to discover Lightnin’ Moe and drive with them to a blues tip along cool northern seas
