Leevee Town is a Kansas City band, who were finalists in 2007 International Blues Challenge, receiving extensive good reviews as a rockin’ blues band The group has originality and show good taste, elegance and a professional performing, they have talent and perfectly combine tempos, rhythms and the clever messages included on their lyrics The album brings us fourteen tracks, thirteen of them signed by Brandon Hudspeth and Jaque Garoutte, plus one written by Jimmie Meade Brandon is the band guitar player, Jaque is on bass and Jimmie on harmonica, and the three musicians also sing on a good way Finally Jan Faircloth is on drums and he sings too The record shows the variety and the different styles and approaches to blues, seen from various angles and stylistic perspectives You will find Chicago and hypnotic blues of Louisiana swamps, gathered with an extreme respect for the spirit of Slim Harpo, but you will also find a huge amount of subgenres such as surf-blues, rusty-dusty-blues, rockabilly, funky rhythm and surrealistic blues, rollicking boogie and many more surprises I am not going to discover here, to not reveal the mystery of Levee Town’s music
