Born in Barcelona, at the age of three Leo Cayuela traveled with his parents to countries like Chile, England and Venezuela, living in Caracas for nineteen years.

In 2000 he came back to Barcelona and specialized in studying the origins of blues. He also devoted himself to build ‘cigar box’ guitars or to play Resonator guitar, sometimes using a coin instead of a pick or a knife edge instead of the actual tube slide, in addition of immerse himself into the music of old pre-war bluesmen such as Son House, Skip James, Blind Willie Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Reverend Gary Davis, Bukka White, Mance Lipscomb or Furry Lewis to name a few.

This second volume includes eleven songs, eight sung in Spanish, two in English and one instrumental. Leo’s knowledge of deep-south origins is undeniable and its transposition to the guitar is faultless too. Guitarist of exquisite taste, Cayuela gathers the force and spirit to perform in a real genuine way, he knows how to communicate to listeners with an infectious reverence and passion.

The album was recorded in Chester Music Lab, a studio in Barcelona that preserves a collection of old microphones and vintage equipment to, in this way, reproduce the real sound of thirties rural bluesmen.
