Life has not been easy for singer Lea McIntosh, not in vain she was born on a dysfunctional family so, since she was a child, she had to get along with drugs, violence and crime. Her mother was murdered when Lea was only eleven years old and she also suffered from physical and emotional abuse. Maybe due to all the bad situations she suffered, her voice has gathered a dramatic tone, which communicates a very special rawness as well as a deep feeling that makes her appear as a totally reliable and passionate artist in every song she performs. Music has been her lifesaver bridge, driving her to overcome all her traumas and build a really original, powerful, passionate music she performs with joy and pride. “Blood Cash” is the debut album of this singular singer, where she has included seven own compositions written in collaboration with her band musicians who are Travis Cruse on guitar, Andy Just on harmonica, Eamonn Fynn on keyboards, Myron Dove on bass and Deszon Claiborne on drums. With Lea fronting the band, they present an engaging cool repertoire, which is the result of mixing Americana, folk-rock and blues music, always in a cleverly adjusted and very suggestive way.
