Le Roux group takes its name from one of the main ingredients used to make a gumbo Therefore the music they bring us becomes a substantial dish where Southern rock tastefully and strongly combines with electric folk rock spiced with incendiary guitar solos that sometimes remind me Wishbone Ash ones, ballads and a little bit of Louisiana bayous music The band releases their seventh album with ten well developed and perfectly fitted songs, thanks to remarkable and really amazing arrangements Producer Jeff Glissman has done an excellent very professional job, highlighting the work of these totally impressing musicians You will find Jeff McCarty on vocals, an outstanding singer, Jim Odom on guitars and backing vocal harmonies, Tony Haselden on guitars, slide and backing vocal harmonies, Rod Roddy on piano and backing vocal harmonies, Nelson Blanchard on Hammond and backing vocal harmonies, Joey Decker on bass and backing vocal harmonies, Randy Carpenter on drums and Mark Duthu on percussion Also mention the fabulous work the band has done to tie all vocal nuances that sometimes could remind those ones coming from the old Crosby, Still, Nash and Young This is an excellent recording that deserves to be listened attentively and tastefully savored
